Dog Jumps into Her New Mom’s Car After Waiting 110 Days to be Adopted

Luna has been waiting a long time for her freedom walk. Humane Society Broward County shared that the 2-year-old Boxer mix has been an “underdog” at their shelter for almost 110 days. But she doesn’t have to wait in her kennel any longer! The humane society shared Luna’s happy freedom walk on TikTok recently and it’s a joy to watch.

They wrote on TikTok: “Our underdog Luna was adopted! It was finally Luna’s turn and she knew it the second she saw that adopted sticker! Luna has so many other dogs leave the shelter, but finally after almost 110 days in a kennel, she found her forever family.”

When Luna goes on her freedom walk she could hardly wait to get in her new mom’s car and go. “She was so happy and thankful, she couldn’t contain herself,” the humane society wrote. “She jumped right up into the car and smothered her new forever home with kisses.”

A couple of months ago, the shelter posted a YouTube video asking when would Luna find a family to call her own. “I’m sweet, playful, like toys and enjoy going for walks.”

They added that Luna was “jumpy at times in my kennel” but that’s because she just wants “to go out and have fun.” “The staff say I’m a social gal who is bubbly, curious, and will be a great fit for a family who wants to have a dog to go on adventures with.”

Even though Luna had her adoption fee sponsored in November of 2022, she still had to wait a few months to find that someone to give her a chance.

Thankfully, she has finally got her chance. And she still is just as bouncy.
