After a street dog got hit by car and couldn’t move Animal Aid Unlimited, India rushed to his aid.
Rescuers noted Batani’s “wrenched and extended neck, his desperately pleading eyes, his stiff legs.”
They were concerned the dog might have internal injuries so they rushed him to hospital. There, they determined he appeared to have no broken bones but his spine had damage.
“Feeding this sweetheart by hand would be necessary until he had the courage to overcome the pain enough to lift his head. And thus began the weeks-long bed rest and physiotherapy sessions which, together with his sheer will of steel and absolute love of life, would give him back his legs.”
Animal Aid Unlimited, India added, “He was so eager to try, because he had so much playing to do!”
