When MJ saw the video of a bulldog named Molly she immediately said, “The pink one. That’s who I want.” Molly was covered in severe mange so bad that her skin was raw and she could barely walk. She looked in really rough shape and MJ knew the dog needed her.
Molly was pulled from the shelter by Road Dogs & Rescue and when MJ picked her up, Molly still stunk and was covered with infection. She was also cautious around people but MJ could tell the dog really wanted people to be nice to her. MJ and her partner, Michael, were surprised to learn that Molly was only around 18 months old. But as Molly’s skin got better and the more she was loved, the more she became happy, confident and like a puppy.
Being a therapist, MJ recognized that Molly’s sweet and gentle nature could help her patients and decided Molly would work with her. Now Molly’s “official” title is “Miss Molly the Healing Bulldog.” MJ says Molly’s resilience and kindness is a lesson for everyone adding, “If only we could be more like Miss Molly.”
