A man came to Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac, Serbia to tell them that there was a skinning dog wandering around the road outside. Milan went out looking for her right away. It was a very hot day and the dog was looking for some shade. “We called her and then we heard her bark, deep in the field,” Milan shared.
The dogs in the shelter also heard her and barked, sensing she was close by.
Milan scoured the bushes looking for her and finally she appeared. Using some food, he managed to lure her out. Panting and emaciated, she followed the trail of treats. Not only was she hungry and thirsty, she was covered in ticks.
But the stray dog was friendly and gentle and let Milan pick her up and carry her back to the shelter. “Dona” is a beautiful dog about 1 year old,” Milan shared. When she recovers she will be placed up for adoption.
