Trembling Dog Scheduled to Die Gets Last-Minute Save and Immediately Thanks Her Rescuer
A dog named Brownie was literally trembling from head to toe when I Love Rescue filmed her at a California kill shelter on the very day she was scheduled to be euthanized. By 2 p.m., Brownie was set to die. She had been at the shelter for a month and couldn’t be housed with other dogs because she had been labeled aggressive.
Just 10 minutes before 2 p.m., Tao saw I Love Rescue’s video and plea for help and was moved to try and give Brownie a second chance by fostering her.
She immediately called the shelter to arrange for Brownie to be pulled by a rescue, and coordinated with Lend a Bone Rescue, who got her out with just a minute to spare.

When Tao brought Brownie home, the dog quickly showed why she deserved more time. She walked right into Tao’s house, jumped on the sofa, and settled in for snuggles. Seeing how affectionate and gentle she was, Tao introduced her to the other foster dogs sooner than expected.
She plans to find Brownie a forever home but is happy to foster her for as long as it takes to find the perfect family.
