Bus Driver Spots A Lost Dog Standing In The Rain And Knows She Has To Stop

While driving her route on a rainy day in Milwaukee, bus driver Stephany K. spotted a soaking wet dog wandering alone through traffic. He was running frantically through the passing cars. Frightened and lost, the Pit Bull was clearly in danger.

Instead of driving by and continuing her route, Stephany pulled over and opened the bus doors, inviting the dog aboard. She called to him “Come here, bud” and the pup stepped in, happily wagged his tail.

Watch the video here:

After getting him safely out of the rain, she contacted her route supervisor. While she waited she brought the pittie to her seat and gave him pets while they waited. When her supervisor came, he took the dog to the local police department. Stephany later learned the lost dog had been reunited with his worried family.

A route supervisor came to take him to the police station.

As Milwaukee County Transit System told , their bus operators are the eyes and ears of the community, always looking out for the safety of others. Thanks to Stephany’s quick thinking and compassion, one unexpected stop turned into a life-saving reunion.
