Musician Nandinho Oliveira got an unexpected — and adoring — fan during a recent performance with his band, Caffé Pitta, in Alagoinhas, Brazil.

While Nandinho was playing drums on stage, a big black dog wandered over, seemingly mesmerized — not just by the music, but by the drummer’s stick. In a sweet moment, Nandinho handed over an extra drumstick, and the delighted dog happily pranced away, settling down on stage to chew his prize.

As it turns out, this wasn’t their first meeting. Nandinho told The Dodo that the dog had approached him during setup at an earlier show, clearly eager to play. A week later, at a different venue, the dog returned — this time jumping up on stage to reconnect.

The heartwarming moment has since gone viral, with millions of views worldwide. Though the two friends parted ways after the performance, Nandinho has plans to make their bond permanent.

“I’m almost certain he’s a street dog,” he said. “I believe I know where he lives, and I intend to adopt him. I’m the one who is grateful for that.”
