Rescued Bull Terrier Experiences Joy of a Cozy Bed for the First Time
A rescue dog was overjoyed when she got to have a real bed for the very first time in her life.
Millie’s past is largely a mystery to her rescuers at Pibbles & More Animal Rescue, but they do know the 7-year-old Bull Terrier had multiple litters of puppies and lacked proper medical care during those years. Her foster mom, Jill Stafford, suspects Millie missed out on many experiences that a beloved family dog would typically have.
Take her first encounter with a bone, for example. Millie seemed unsure of what to do, repeatedly picking it up and setting it down almost 20 times just staring at it. It wasn’t until she saw Jill’s dog, Mia, happily chewing on one that she figured out what the bone was for.
The same went for a bed. If this video is any indication, Millie likely never had the chance to relax and play on a soft bed before. Her reaction to hopping onto the bed for the first time is pure joy.
Despite everything, Millie is a goofy, sweet dog with so much love to give. And the best part? She just found her forever home!
