Last Pup Left on Dog Meat Farm Finally Rescued

Teddy was the very last dog left on this dog meat farm but on this day everything changed. A team with Humane World for Animals has come to take Teddy away and to a better life.

After enduring fear and isolation, Teddy’s long wait for freedom ended when the team arrived to take him to safety. Gently coaxing the frightened pup, one rescuer whispered, “We love you… it’s going to be the start of a beautiful life.”

Teddy’s rescue marked a powerful moment—not just for him, but for the future of the other dogs rescued from the farm. He was the final rescue of nearly 200 dogs on the farm. With his departure, the farm is officially closed for good.

“This is the 18th dog meat farm permanently closed by Humane World for Animals,” the organization shared. “More than 2,700 dogs have been rescued through the program and found adoptive families in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and a small number in South Korea.”

Humane World for Animals—formerly known as the Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International—has spent more than 70 years fighting to end cruelty and create lasting change. Teddy is now part of that legacy.
