Dog Sees His First Humpback Whales — and They Fall in Love With Him
Fin loves being out on the ocean near San Diego with his dad, Domenic Biagini. The dog has seen dolphins—his favorites—and other types of whales, but he had never encountered humpbacks. Recently, that changed when his dad filmed an unforgettable moment.
On this outing, Fin met his first humpback whales. As excited as Fin was to see them, the whales seemed even more curious about him, so much so that Biagini described the whales as falling in love with his dog.
The massive animals repeatedly surfaced to get closer to Fin and appeared to respond to his barking.
“Fin has spent the last few years learning the art of whale watching,” owner Domenic Biagini said. “He can sniff out dolphins and whales before we see them, and there’s nothing he loves more than when these gentle giants come over to investigate his excited barking!”
