Rescued Beagle Couldn’t Stop Shaking Until Special Dog Stepped In to Help
A terrified stray Beagle named Ruby was rescued from the streets of Cyprus and brought to a foster home in Hamburg, Germany. She was so scared she wouldn’t stop shaking.
Her foster family’s dog, Dino—a Dalmatian with dwarfism—was overjoyed to meet her and immediately wanted to be friends. But he had to take it slow. Little by little, Ruby began to trust him. She started following Dino’s lead and started playing with toys, going outside, and even wagging her tail. Through her friendship with Dino, Ruby found her confidence.

And it turns out, Dino needed her just as much.
“He was always so bored and alone, and now he has a permanent best friend,” his mom wrote on Instagram. Meeting Ruby changed his life, too—and made it clear to their foster family that Ruby was already home.
