Rescue Describes Dog as a ‘Sentient Middle Finger’—the Internet Falls in Love

Some rescue dogs take a little extra work to find an adopter—and that’s because some dogs have behavioral challenges. Or sometimes, they’re just so much more.

Enter Igor.

He may look like an adorable little black and white dog, but his rescuers call him a “sentient middle finger wrapped in a cloud of fur.” He’s also now super famous thanks to the brutally honest and funny adoption post that Renegade Paws Rescue shared on Facebook in an attempt to find the “furious deity” a home. Last week, they posted some cute photos of Igor along with a description—or shall we say, warning—that for some reason, the Internet thought was charming. Despite the caution that Igor is “not a good boy,” the post quickly racked up over 35,000 shares.

Based in Georgia, Renegade Paws Rescue put it all out on the table—full disclosure. From having farts that are like “chemical warfare” to making his trainer cry, Renegade noted that Igor is a handful:

“Ever wanted to adopt a sentient middle finger wrapped in a cloud of fur? Meet Igor. We have reason to believe he’s a cursed Victorian child masquerading as a 10lb stuffed animal.

“Igor is not a good boy. Igor is an experience….He will allow you to live in his home if you agree to worship him like the tiny, furious deity he is…His adoption requirements include at least one human who finds small, emotionally stunted men ‘intriguing.'”

Not one to shrink away from fame, he traveled to New York to appear on the Today Show, where his one regret was that he “didn’t drop a steaming, brown log of protest on live TV.”

Being the “shapeshifting ghoul” that he is, he acted like an angel in the studio.

It was when he got outside that he reverted to his villainous ways. Several adventures ensued while taking in the Big Apple, including his refusal to enter the subway without being bribed with a bacon-egg-and-cheese sandwich.

But in all seriousness, Igor has mesmerized potential adopters. Renegade Paws Rescue shared, “His foster mom and the applications team are currently sorting through the hundreds of applications from deranged witches and hot girls ‘who can change him.'”
