Rescuers Came to Help Starving Dog — Then They Saw His Paws

When some God Samaritans saw a Pit Bull “hey saw him “walking alone, every rib protruding, looking for food” they brought him to their workplace and immediately called Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

As soon as the stray dog caught sight of Donna and the rescue team he wagged his tail happily. They wrote:

“When we arrived, we first noticed how SKINNY this poor boy was! Then we saw his feet – covered in sores, open wounds, and exposed bone. Most likely are pressure sores from emaciation. This baby boy has not had it easy.”

They named him Bobble and took him on his freedom ride to their clinic, where they began treating his wounds and weight loss, noting, “and of course we all fell in love with him.”

They saw him walking alone, every rib protruding, looking for food. The Good Samaritans brought him into their workplace and called us. When we arrived, we first noticed how SKINNY this poor boy was! Then we saw his feet – covered in sores, open wounds, and exposed bone. Most likely are pressure sores from emaciation. This baby boy has not had it easy. We named him Bobble and took him to our clinic where we began medical care, and of course we all fell in love with him. After just a few days of good food, baby talk, medical care, and lots of love, we are proud to announce Bobble is ready for a foster home! He still has plenty of weight to gain, but that’s the fun part, so we’ll let one of you do that! He passed his doggy test with flying colors, so a home with other dogs would be just fine! He loves other dogs. As normal, always feed separate, especially when you have a skinny, new pup. They have been in survival mode, and until they are at a healthy weight, they should always eat in a crate or separated from other dogs. Actually, that goes for all new dogs! But you get the idea. 🙂 Who can come take our adorable Bobble home today? He is 1.5 years old, 37 pounds. Strayrescue.org/Foster

Now they are asking for help finding him a foster.

“After just a few days of good food, baby talk, medical care, and lots of love, we are proud to announce Bobble is ready for a foster home! He still has plenty of weight to gain, but that’s the fun part, so we’ll let one of you do that! He passed his doggy test with flying colors, so a home with other dogs would be just fine! He loves other dogs.”

They estimate that Bobble is around a year and a half years old and currently weighs 37 pounds. The shelter will give guidance and support to his foster family. Apply at: Strayrescue.org/Foster
