Rescuer Finds Dumped Dog About to Give Birth and Saves Her Just in Time
Dog rescuer Audray Luck was contacted about a dumped pregnant dog spotted wandering just outside of Trenton, Georgia. When she arrived, she saw the dog (later named Ginger) pacing along the train tracks before disappearing into the thick brush.
Audray knew that if she didn’t catch Ginger soon, the dog would likely give birth in the woods. With temperatures dropping, the puppies might not survive.

Determined to rescue her, Audray tracked Ginger for two hours through the brush. Finally, she got close enough to offer some treats. Starving, Ginger cautiously approached and then wagged her tail. Audray gently secured her, and just in time too. That very night in foster care, Ginger gave birth to 10 puppies.
Audray runs Luck’s Rescue, helping dogs in the Dade County area and surroundings that don’t have animal control services. Thanks to her quick actions Ginger and her pups have a brighter future ahead of them.
