A terrified shelter dog completely transformed the moment she stepped outside her kennel.

Roxy, a Shepherd dog, was visibly shaking in her kennel at a California shelter after being surrendered by her family. She was so scared that she flinched when Didia, from Furry Tail Endings, gently extended her hand to pet her.

Too fearful to let volunteers approach, Roxy was placed on the euthanasia list. Determined to save her, Didia devised a plan. When she returned to pull Roxy from the shelter, she first took her into the yard. Away from the overwhelming noise and confined space, Roxy laid her head on Didia’s chest and let out a deep sigh of relief.

That same day, Roxy was taken to a foster home, where she immediately began playing with the family’s dogs. Just a month later, she found her perfect forever home in Colorado. Now, she hikes in the mountains, plays with her canine sibling, and enjoys life with a loving family.
