Woman Catches Dog From Terrifying Fall In Last Second
A small dog is alive thanks to a neighbor who saved her from plummeting from an apartment window. Yasmin Saraiva was at home in her apartment in Guarulhos, Brazil when she heard a noise outside her window. When she went to look she saw a group of people on the street below her apartment. They were staring up at the apartment window above hers. What was going on?
It turns out Alicinha, the neighbor’s tiny dog, had gotten through the mesh that protectively covered the open window. Alicinha was struggling in the netting and had begun to climb up the shutters. Saraiva immediately jumped into action, frantically searching for something to catch the dog in. She grabbed a cardboard box and held it out of the window to try and catch Alicinha. Thankfully, Saraiva caught the dog and the box didn’t break. With Alicinha safe in Saraiva’s arms, the dog relaxed.
Saraiva told a Brazilian news outlet that Alicinha “became my friend as if nothing had happened. She added, ““It almost gave me a heart attack. But she just sat there in my living room and stared at the TV.”
She later said that Alicinha is safely back home with her family.
