Paralyzed at a Puppy Mill, Yorkie’s Fighting Spirit is Beautiful to See

When Jack the Yorkshire Terrier arrived at National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR) he was a “very sick little boy.” The dog was undernourished, weighing just 2.2 pounds. He had been stepped on by a husky at breeding facility, an accident that caused paralysis in his back legs.

“His broken little body had taken nearly as much as it could withstand,” NMDR wrote of Jack. One of the staff at the shelter fell in love with him and decided to adopt him. At his new home, Jack began to want to walk around. He wore a onesie to protect his bottom. He also began laser therapy and really seemed to like it.

Next up came came physiotherapy and chiropractic treatments. He began to gain strength in his legs but not quiet enough so his family got him a wheelchair. Soon he was chasing mom around the shelter. But Jack’s journey wasn’t over yet.

Watch to see how he’s living his best life now.
