Watch: Naughty Sled Dog Steals Reporter’s Camera and Hits Record

Reporters with the Associated Press were on assignment in Greenland filming with dog sledders when they realized their expensive 360-degree camera had gone missing.

But where could it have gone?

The reporters suspected one of the sled dogs might be the culprit, so they returned to the spot where they had last seen the camera, searching in the dark.

AP journalist Emma Burrows explained what happened next: “I saw some dogs running away from the point where we both thought we’d last seen the camera lying on the floor. So I decided to follow them.”

Not far away, she found the missing camera lying on the ground — a little worse for wear and covered with chew marks. That’s when she realized the mischievous dog had accidentally hit record.

The canine had used the pricey camera as a chew toy before running off with it and ducking under a sled. Thankfully, the dog came back out with the camera otherwise, she says, it’s unlikely they would have ever found it again.
