Senior Dog Found Lost on a Busy Road Gets a Second Chance She Thought She’d Never Have
A senior dog named Daisy was found wandering lost on a busy road in Cape Town, South Africa. She was taken to a shelter but later in by Sidewalk Specials, who fostered her and made sure she received the dental care she desperately needed while they waited to see if her family could be found.
But no one ever came to claim her.
Still, Daisy’s story wasn’t over.
In a wonderful turn of events, she found a loving forever home, where she’s now getting the second chance she deserves — and has become one very happy dog.
Thankfully, supporters of Sidewalk Specials helped make her rescue possible and ensured she got the care she needed. Sidewalk Specials wrote, “Only 22% of unchipped dogs make it back home…Daisy was found, lost, on a busy road – in an overwhelmed welfare system an old girl like her would most likely have slipped through the cracks… Your support meant we could catch her!”
