Man Tries to Leave the House But These Neighbor Dogs Have Other Plans

Harry Parker doesn’t have a dog of his own but that hasn’t stopped him from becoming the neighborhood’s bone-a-fide dog lover. Recently, he shared his heart-melting morning routine with two pups who live next door.

In a video he shared, Parker is getting ready to head out in the morning when he’s intercepted by his furry fan club. First comes Maggie, a black Labrador, sprinting full tilt across the lawn. Hot on her heels is Mabel, the wiggly Boston Terrier, determined not to be left behind despite her shorter legs. Their mission? Morning treats.

Parker pulls out freeze-dried beef liver treats and instantly their tails wag faster and bodies wiggle harder. The happiness on their faces says it all — sweetest neighbor ever!

Viewers agree. One person gushed, “Ughh this is sooo precious!!! Look at Mabel in the back running for her life like, ‘wait I have little legs, I’m cominggg!’” Another added, “That wiggly run-in is everything! You’re the best neighbor.”

The video even inspired people to share their own neighbor-dog stories. One pet parent wrote, “My dog as a puppy kept escaping. I thought I solved the escape issue. I came home with my gate open and a note on my door”we have your puppy come by” turns out she was best friends with my elderly neighbor. From that day I would just walk her over in the morning and pick her up when I got home. We did this for 9 years till they were too old. My dog took them on walks, took naps and loved them so much.”ith them, and loved them so much.”

It’s moments like these that show how neighbors can become like extended family for our dogs. Just ask Emmy the Labrador, who loves to ring her neighbor’s doorbell for treats, Charli the dog, who got a special post-surgery gift from a neighbor, or Pita the Goldendoodle, who made friends so she could play with the dog next door.
