Man Almost Bursts Into Tears After Being Reunited With Stolen Dog

A man was overjoyed to be reunited with his American Bully days after the pup was stolen from him on a Bronx subway train in New York. Charles Williams had fallen asleep while riding the train with his dog, Rock, when someone undid Rock’s leash and took him. By the time Williams woke up, his beloved companion was gone.

For a week, Williams and authorities searched but couldn’t find Rock—until someone dropped the dog off at the 44th Precinct Police Station.

Overwhelmed with relief, Williams said he wanted to cry when he was reunited with his best friend. Currently homeless, he refuses to give Rock up for shelter, as the city shelters won’t accept dogs unless they are service animals. Instead, he’s been sleeping on trains and rooftops so he can keep his four-legged family member by his side. Now, with Rock back, Williams says he plans to visit his daughter and grandson as everyone had been worried about the pup.

Viewers celebrated the reunion, grateful that someone made the right choice by turning Rock in. One person commented, “I’m happy he got his best friend back. I pray that his daughter or family helps him find a home.”
