Many say that reading can improve your life and make you better. And it seems it’s not only true for people, but also for one particular stray dog. The dog recently stole a book and it changed his life forever!
The university bookstore, Infinity Livraria, in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil shared surveillance video of the dog wandering into their store and stealing a book. But not just any book – it was a novel entitled “The Days of Abandonment” – apropos of a stray dog’s predicament.
A student retrieved the book from the brazen thief and brought it back to the store.
The video of the dog with a literary bent quickly went viral and caught the attention of local animal rescuers who soon visited Feevale University to track down the dog.
According to the bookstore, it seems the sweet pup was actually in a foster home already but ran away.

The rescuers took the dog to the vet for a quick check up, gave him a bath and secured him a foster home who will keep a good eye on him.

He’s now awaiting adoption and if that’s not a happy ending to a story, we don’t know what is!
