Video: Gentle Bull Mastiff Delights Teen With Sweet Surprise at Sports Game
While at a lacrosse game with his dad, one big-hearted Bull Mastiff named Bud spotted a teen sitting in the bleachers and decided to brighten his day with a surprise visit.
In a sweet video shared by TikTokker Daily Dohse of Bud, Bud goes over to the teen, who is absolutely delighted by the canine’s attention and breaks into a huge grin. The touching moment has since gone viral, with over 5 million views.
“As Bud’s dad, I take pleasure in knowing he truly loves being around people. That’s it, he is gentle, and loves to be out in public. My son plays travel hockey and Bud is usually out with us,” TikTokker @Drew_0077 commented in response to all of Bud’s new fans.
TikTokker @lysssmarie3, who says the young man in the video is her brother, Ryan, also commented, “I’ve watched this so many times, you guys truly made my brother’s day.”
It turns out Ryan is a big dog lover. When a person commented, “Omg this gave me goosebumps. Maybe your bro needs a puppy?” @lysssmarie3 shared a video of Ryan cuddling with the family’s two dogs, Gracie and Rosie.
She also shared a video of Ryan meeting Peak, a K9 search dog, in which he’s absolutely delighted.
Bud has such a natural way with Ryan that people wondered if he should be a therapy dog. Daily Dohse of Bud shared, “He’s not certified yet, but will be. We’re working on personal space with him. He wants to be everyone’s best friend.”
