Video: Dolphins Enchanted by Visiting Service Dog at Georgia Aquarium
When Ashton (TikTokker @radiantlygolden) and her service dog, Forest, visited the Georgia Aquarium recently, they had a sweet interaction with the dolphins—all of which are rescued or non-releasable and couldn’t survive in the wild. Ashton wrote, “I think the dolphins knew he was special.”
Watch Forest’s delightful dolphin encounter below:
Viewers are enchanted with the encounter. One person wrote, “They definitely know he’s the best boy.”
Others noticed the parallels between the animals. “Golden Retriever of the sea meets Golden Retriever of the earth,” noted one viewer. “Is land puppy? Nice to meet you! I is sea puppy,” commented another.
“I used to work at an aquarium. Dolphins LOVESSSS dogs,” one person shared. “They don’t understand them. They find them SOOOO interesting. Same things with strollers. They can feel them roll around with echolocation. It’s beautiful.”
Another person agreed. “Dolphins love dogs! When I was growing up my family had a boat and when my dog would come on board dolphins would follow us and jump out of the water right next to her.” Ashton answered, “STOP that’s the sweetest thing.”
“Knowing that dolphins are the 3rd smartest animal this makes it even cuter. They genuinely were interacting with him.
Ashton answered, “That was my thought! They’re SO smart and sentient.”
Forest’s visit is so different from this dog’s, who got a big surprise at the zoo when he met a polar bear. Watch here.
