Then one day, Edna was gone.
Honey’s mom, Abigail Morrow, shared a touching compilation of moments between the two friends on TikTok. The video shows Honey running to the fence each morning, tail wagging, to greet Edna and receive treats, gentle pets, and a few quiet moments of friendship. But in the final clip, the scene changes—Honey returns to the same spot, tail still wagging, only to find Edna no longer there. The video quickly struck a chord online, drawing more than 33 million views in just four days. But what many people didn’t know is that before Edna passed away, Honey was given one last chance to see her.
“They did actually get to say goodbye to each other, which was the sweetest thing,” Abigail later shared. “Her family texted us when she had gotten pretty sick. They texted us and asked if we could bring Honey. Honey got to give her lots of sniffs and lots of kisses on the hand and say goodbye to her friend. So they really did have just such a special bond.”
Edna’s family was deeply touched to see the video spreading online.
Her granddaughter Isabella wrote, “Crazy to see my great grandmother go viral on Tiktok, sweetest woman I’ve ever known. Not a bone in that woman’s body could hold any anger and or negative emotions. We all miss her more than anything.”
