Dog Is Hilariously Obsessed With Cinder Blocks—No Other Toy Will Do
Squeaky toys. Balls. Discs. None of these interest Emily Heide’s dog, Finn. Instead, Finn’s preferred toy is a cinder block. Big or small, it’s what he enjoys playing with—almost to the point of obsession. It might be confusing, but his family just wants to make him happy, so they indulge him.
Any time Finn gets a cinder block, he barks in excitement and moves it around the backyard. Heide jokes, “He acts like someone’s going to want it but so far no one has.”

His antics have gone viral on TikTok, with many dog lovers asking if Finn is perhaps part Belgian Malinois because his bark reminds them of the breed. “This is screaming Malinois, you know what breed he is?” asked one viewer.
Heide answered, “A lot of people are saying that. I don’t know, I need to do a DNA test.”
“He’s a geologist,” joked another viewer. “From the looks of it he really loves being alive,” said another. The majority of folks were delighted to see how much he enjoys the simple things in life—whether it be a rock or a brick or smaller brick.
