Bottle-Fed Puppy and Kitten Form Sweetest Bond After Being Rescued
Mango the kitten and Milkshake the puppy aren’t just an adorable pair they’re a heart-melting example of love and resilience. Rescued separately but united in foster care, these two found each other at Kitten Rescue in Los Angeles, with the help of Best Friends of Los Angeles.
Both Mango and Milkshake were far too young to be without their mothers and required round-the-clock bottle feeding. When they got a bit older they began to bond.
Kitten Rescue wrote:
“We responded to a plea to rescue a litter of pit bull puppies from the South LA shelter that were so young they needed to be bottle fed. When Destiny from Best Friends went to get them, she intercepted a little 4-day old orange kitten, Mango, who was being brought in and gave him to us for bottle feeding as well. The kitten is being raised with the puppies (with contributions from the resident Bulldog) and everyone is doing fantastic! They are all 2 weeks old in this video and are one happy family, but I think it’s safe to say that Mango has chosen Milkshake, the puppy, as his favorite.”
Here’s the pair a short time later getting watched over by Ray Ray, a rescued bulldog.
A year on the pair were still together, their foster caregivers deciding to adopt them into the family.
The family shared:
“Milkshake is exhausted after spending the morning of ripping the stuffing out of a toy and a blanket. Of course this is when Mango wants to play with her. The video ends abruptly because our cat knocked over a chair and scared the hell out of all of us.”
These two sweeties deserved to stay together so we’re very happy to see they will remain with their loving foster – now permanent – family.
