Badly Injured Great Dane’s Amazing Transformation Shows the Power of Love
Wren the Great Dane’s journey to a happy life began with a single phone call. The Sanctuary at Haafsville received a call from one of their veterinary partners about helping a Great Dane named Wren.
The rescue in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania, shared on a Facebook post that Wren was “not in great shape and they needed a rescue to step up.” So they did. When they saw her condition, they were shocked. She had red, gaping wounds all over her body, which appeared to be either burns or road rash, though the cause was not shared on the social media post.

“Luckily, one of [the] employees at the vet’s office stepped up to foster and to care for her many wounds,” said The Sanctuary at Haafsville.

That was just the beginning. This kind and generous woman fell in love with Wren and, as the rescue put it, “the rest is history.” Wren is now adopted and living her best life with her foster mom. The before-and-after photos of Wren show just how remarkable a transformation she’s made.

Reflecting on Wren’s rescue, The Sanctuary at Haafsville said, “It’s why we keep going in rescue… it’s nice to occasionally get a win! Happy life, Wren.”
