A nativity scene recreated with dogs is charming people around the globe and helping put everyone in the Christmas mood.
The husband and wife team at Wags to Riches Pet Services in Leicestershire, England, decided to get into the Christmas spirit and shared a photo of dogs recreating the nativity scene. After all, they had the perfect robes – er towels – for the dogs to wear.
They captioned the picture, “Busy morning at W2R HQ, practising our nativity play.”
The funny photo immediately caught people’s attention, with one person on reddit observing, “All of the dogs look so serious…except for the golden retriever who is having the time of his life.” To which another responded, “He is the wisest of the three.”
But what really is making this nativity scene go viral must be the adorable pup in the manger!

The groomers / pet boarding service did a similarly-themed photo in 2016, albeit not as successfully as this one because “one of the wise men ran off that’s why there is only two.”
But in 2018 all the “wise dogs” showed up.
Along with a few extras, who were quite kingly.
And one even shone as brightly as the Star of Bethlehem.
What a cute way to celebrate Christmas with the dogs in their care.
