Nashville Couple Saves Dog Seen Being Pulled Behind a Car by a Chain
A Nashville couple discovered a dog dragging an 8-foot rusty chain through their quiet neighborhood on Sunday morning. Shelby and Adison Harvat had no idea how or why he ended up there — until neighbors checked their Ring camera footage. The video revealed a silver car driving back and forth down the street with the young dog chained to the back of the vehicle.
When Shelby and Addison first approached him, any movement sent the dog into a panic. Still, they managed to get him into their car and contacted the metro non-emergency line. Miraculously, the dog was uninjured, and it turns out he’s a playful pup. Shelby said he did a “full 180” within a day.
“It blows my mind that somebody would be just openly in the middle of a Sunday doing that around the neighborhood,” Adison said. “Don’t just jump into getting a dog if you can’t take care of them. They deserve to be treated the same way that we all do.” The couple hopes whoever was driving the car is found and held responsible.
The dog is currently staying with animal control while the case is investigated.
