Orphaned Deer And Dog Form The Sweetest Friendship

Many years ago, an orphaned fawn became friends with a golden Retriever named Yukon. Photographer Greg Grupenhof filmed the pair playing together at a watering hole – Or, more accurately, the deer (who Greg nicknamed Daisy), trying to befriend Yukon.

“My dog (Yukon) and (Daisy) an orphaned fawn, became friends briefly. Daisy roamed our neighborhood for several months before disappearing into the wild,” Greg wrote. “Whenever I took Yukon for a walk, Daisy would suddenly appear. This particular day she was in playful mood but Yukon could care less. He just wanted to collect rocks for me.”

Greg shared another video of Daisy appearing when he was out for a walk with Yukon in 2009. Again, Yukon is more interested in collecting rocks rather than note Daisy’s presence. “As you’ll notice, Yukon had a thing for rocks and loved to retrieve them for me,” Greg noted. “He also liked to tidy up this little pond whenever we’d visit the swimming hole. I think he did it more to ignore Daisy the deer. He didn’t want me to know they were actual buds.”
