Dog Immediately Wants Hugs On His Freedom Ride

Jake and Cassie went to adopt a dog at their local shelter and were immediately drawn to Seiko because he was a bit of an outcast for being black in color (a studied phenomenon in animal shelters known as Black Dog Syndrome) and he had a small scar on his face just like they do.

Seiko was instantly grateful from the moment they got in the car with him for their freedom ride. He climbed into the passenger seat and gave Cassie a big hug.

“It was one of the happiest moments of our lives,” says Cassie. Seiko was so respectful and well-mannered that he adjusted to his new life very quickly. “You could tell he really wanted a home,” says Jake. Jake and Cassie are quick to point out that as much as they have had an impact on Seiko’s life, he’s had an equally important one on theirs – including being their ring bearer in their wedding.
