Tiny Dog Wins Crufts Freestyle Competition with Magical Aladdin Performance

Meet Trip Hazard. The Maltese / Pomeranian mix dog may be small in size but he’s big in talent and familiar to applause. His mom (and trainer) Lucy Heath says of her dog, “Trip is a crowd pleaser.” He’s also a bit of a celebrity, having become a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent in 2016 and charming the likes of Simon Cowell. He’s also performed in the TV series Bridgerton and on stage.

Trip has lost none of his talent in performing complex tricks over the years. His skills were on full display at Crufts, the UK’s top dog show, in 2025. Trip and Lucy took to the arena floor to compete in Freestyle Dance with an entertaining performance. They rolled out the magic carpet for a fun routine based on Disney’s Aladdin.

Their routine is well choreographed and a true audience pleaser and won them first prize. Watch it in full in the video below.

Viewers were impressed by Trip’s agility and talent. One viewer wrote, “WOW! Small but mighty. Incredible.”
