Teens Bravely Knock Down Door To Save Two Dogs From Burning Home

A group of teens are being hailed as heroes after they came to the rescue of two family dogs trapped inside a burning home in West Jordan, Utah. The teens first noticed smoke rising in their neighborhood a few houses down from where they were, and moments later, they were bravely saving lives.

“Without a second thought, we just jumped the fence,” one teen said. “We got down there to see if we could help, see what we could do.”

The situation quickly turned dangerous as propane tanks exploded and the flames grew. The teens noticed a truck in the driveway of the home and feared someone might be trapped inside.

“Our first thought was, ‘Oh crap, somebody is in there,’” one of them told reporters.

Ring doorbell footage shows the teens pounding on the front door. They could hear a dog barking from inside so when no one answered they decided to break down the front door. One teen rushed in, and video captured the moment a dog was carried out of the burning home.

Both dogs survived and are now in good condition, though two homes were completely destroyed by the blaze.

The teens said the gratitude of the dogs’ family made it all worthwhile. One teen said, “Just how grateful the family was — it made you feel good inside,” one said.

Thank goodness for these brave teens!
