Hilarious Video Shows Why Guide Dogs Belong Everywhere
Despite being legally protected in many parts of the world, guide dogs and their handlers are still frequently discriminated against—denied entry to restaurants or refused rides in taxis and on public transport, or treated rudely in public spaces. To raise awareness, the Norwegian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted released a Public Service Announcement (PSA) with a humorous twist.
The video imagines what could happen if guide dogs were replaced by other animals, with the tagline: “It could have been worse.”
In the ad, a man tries to coax a stubborn donkey onto a bus, a woman brings a sheep into a store and leaves behind a mess, and other comical scenarios play out with animals clearly unsuitable for the job. It’s a lighthearted yet powerful way to share an important message: guide dogs should be welcomed wherever they go.
