Mistreated Greyhound Called ‘Ugly’ Finally Finds Love

A senior greyhound abandoned on the streets has finally found a loving home in Sweden after being overlooked for adoption elsewhere because he was considered “ugly.”

Ali had been used as a hunting dog before being discarded. When Star Rescue in Ireland saved him, he was underweight, suffering from a severe leg infection that required amputation, and had scars on his face that made him appear intimidating. His body was also riddled with scars, likely from BB pellets. His rescuers were having difficulty finding adopters willing to overlook his appearance. That’s when Olivia, who lives in Sweden, stepped forward.

When Olivia learned Ali’s story and saw how little interest there was in adopting him, she decided to foster him. After a year in her care, she knew he belonged with her and officially made him part of her family. She says Ali adores children and, despite his past trauma, is incredibly accepting and eager to move forward with his new life.
