This rescuer pulled out all the stops to make sure this abandoned pittie didn’t spend one night alone on the streets.
When Yasmin first spotted Mia, the Pit bull was tied to a fence and it was the middle of the night in Newark, New Jersey. Yasmin had needed to rent a U-Haul to get to the dog because her car had broken down and by the time she reached Mia it was dark out.
She had been told earlier in the day that the dog had been abandoned with a blanket and some food and water. As soon as Mia realized Yasmin was coming to see her she wagged her tail happily.
Yasmin easily got Mia into her vehicle and they went to their first stop – McDonald’s for a treat. They camped out in the van outside Yasmin’s home for the rest of the night because it had AC and Mia was covered with fleas. Plus Yasmin wasn’t ready to introduce Mia to her pets and family. But Mia spent five relaxing days with Yasmin before she headed off to her foster family with help from Jersey Pits Rescue.
As soon as Yasmin arrived in her foster home she ran over to her foster dad for snuggles!
