Dog Rescue Shelter in Serbia received an early morning call with video from a woman who told them that she heard puppies in the bushes by the side of the road. So Milan, the rescue’s founder, went out to the spot and spotted an area with thick branches in the bushes. He saw a pair of golden eyes peering from the bushes.
Milan coaxed the Pit bull mix out of the bushes with food and he noticed she had no fur around her neck, indicating that she was tied up on a chain for a long time.
Fortunately, she was very gentle. When he peeked into the bushes he spotted three puppies, but sadly one had died.
The mama watched with her tail wagging as Milan took her babies and put them in a box. It’s as if the friendly girl knew she and her pups were going somewhere safe.
Back at the shelter she is being fed big bowls of food which she gobbles up. And she is getting medicine to treat the parasites. Her puppies are also getting medicine. They will all continue to get better and hopefully find homes. But one thing is for sure, they won’t perish as they would have done had they not been found and rescued.
