Dog Rescuer Visits Another Rescue to Get Two Dogs and Comes Home with Six

Lee Asher loves rescue days. The seasoned dog rescuer and founder of The Asher House regularly visits local shelters and rescues dogs who are either having health difficulties and need extra support that the shelters can’t easily provide or dogs who are having a hard time getting adopted.

This time, Asher went to visit Luvable Dog Rescue in Eugene, Oregon not only for not only a rescue day but an adoption day as well. He reveals in the video below that he’s adopting a bonded pair of dogs.

Luvable Dog Rescue is a wonderful rescue that takes in dogs and houses them in their very own cottages.

Asher is delighted when he spots three of their rescue dogs sitting on a couch who then run over to greet them. There’s Star, a French Bulldog relinquished by a breeder after she developed digestive issues. There’s Teeny Bean, a pug who came from Bakersfield animal shelter. And Stella is a cute little white dog who was found severely matted on the streets.

But Asher isn’t done yet. When he learns two puppy siblings have been waiting a month to get adopted he proclaims “we’re 100% taking them.” The two pups were found in the middle of nowhere in an orchard. The dogs were dying without their mom so it’s great to see them going with Asher.

And how could he leave Moo behind? Who’s Moo? Moo is a lovable black and white Pit Bull who needs a home.

Asher says, “We went to get two and came home with six!” That seems to be the usual deal these days for the Asher House and they love helping out other rescues. Luvable has had a few difficult years so it’s great to see them still working hard to get sweet dogs like Moo and Teeny Bean homes. And we’re glad to see them get spotlighted by Asher. As he tells the staff at Luvable, “You’re the real deal. Thank you so much.”

We’re happy to see the five sweet dogs are on their way to be either adopted or live out their days at the Asher House sanctuary!
