These Adorable Dogs and Australian Firefighters are All Smiles for the New Year

Is there a better way to usher in the new year than to celebrate our dogs? For the dogs featured in this year’s Australian Firefighters Calendars, their proud families elected them to participate in the photoshoot. These model pooches not only are gracing the 2022 calendars, they are helping to raise funds for a wonderful number of animal charities.

And as you’ll see from the preview photos below, the dogs were all treated like the wonderful fur babies they are by their firefighting companions.

Here’s Mitch with an adorable merle-colored pup.

Dave is all smiles with this little cutie.

Aaron cuddles a Rottie pup.

There are many new faces in this year’s calendars. Ben Church is a firefighter from Western Australia who was selected to take part in the photoshoot.

“I wanted to do it for my Grandma and Mum, they were so proud that I was selected to take part in the photoshoot. They embarrassed the heck out of me by emailing the calendar co-ordinators advising them I was the most handsome firefighter in Western Australia and the guys have not stopped reminding me of that,” said Ben. “Thanks Grandma and Mum!”

These two goldies have the same smile!

Ben shares the limelight with a gentle Dogue de Bordeaux.

Brenden knows how to cradle this cute puppy.

Just look at those gorgeous brown eyes. Oh, and Matt’s blue ones aren’t bad either.

Each year, the calendars raise money for charitable causes to help homeless and in-need animals, including pets and wildlife. This year’s calendars are supporting The Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, Safe Haven Animal Rescue, Native Animal Rescue, Currumbin Wildlife Hospital among others.
