A Pit bull who loves Santa and Christmas couldn’t contain his excitement after his mom surprised him with a visit from Santa “Paws”.
Kristin explains that her Christmas tradition with her dog Fenway began in 2017 after Fenway was diagnosed with blastomycosis and she wasn’t sure he would survive. He fought so hard to survive, she wanted to make Christmas extra special for him.
Fenway not only loves opening presents he never misses a Santa parade and barks every time he sees Santa on television. This year, Kristin knew she wanted to make Fenway’s Christmas extra special. “He loves Santa Claus and I thought why not bring Santa Claus to him,” Kristin says. So when Fenway sees Santa at his door it’s like a dream come true!
Fenway has been the ultimate gift for Kristin. In the video she explains that she adopted Fenway in 2014 with an ex-boyfriend but that relationship was abusive so she left and because she didn’t have family out there, Fenway became her constant support. “We were basically just trying to find anywhere to live. He was just always there for me…it was a constant up and down for a couple years.”
But life has improved, Fenway successfully fought off blasto and now he and his mom are ready to relax for the holidays. Says Kristin, “Seeing Fenway and his joy and surprise made the holiday season so much more special.”
Viewers are equally delighted with Fenway’s reaction to the holidays. “His tail wagging out from beneath the flannel jammies was so cute my heart almost burst,” says one viewer.
“Fenway is soooo adorable,” comments another. “It was so sweet the way he jumped up for Santa Claus. This melted my heart. Merry Christmas to Fenway and his Mommy.”
