In all the years Lee Asher of the Asher House has rescued dogs, no one has ever thought to give him a dog. But recently, a close friend of Lee’s decided to surprise him with a Newfoundland Dog. It’s a breed of dog Lee has always wanted but never rescued. So this friend found a young newfie needing rescue and gifted him to Lee.
Lee admits getting a dog was the last thing he ever expected, calling it the “craziest thing anyone has ever done for me” but also the “coolest thing anyone has ever done for me.”
“I cannot describe the shock and joy I felt in that moment,” Lee described. “No one ever gave me a dog.” Now meet Goose!
