Pebbles was very pregnant when Carter began to foster her and although Pebbles was calm, Carter felt unprepared and stressed out. She had never fostered a pregnant dog before and she didn’t know how many puppies to expect or when. But Carter didn’t have too long to worry because, just a week later, Pebbles went into labor. Pebbles gave birth to 5 puppies on the first night. But more babies kept coming…
Pebbles gave birth to 14 puppies in total! As a nursing mom, she worked overtime, but she still found time to teach her puppies a lot. Now renamed Zara, Pebbles/Zara has found a wonderful new home with a young boy named Wyatt, who has become her best friend.
