When rescuers found Jimmy the Shih Tzu he was covered in matted fur and had maggots crawling out of his eyes.
The maggots caused him so much pain, that when they were finally gone, he was a completely new dog.
Even though he was suffering he never grumbled, said Dr. Liz, the veterinarian that nursed Jimmy back to heath. Unfortunately, she was unable to save his eyes, but she says he has adapted to being without eyes very quickly.
Dr. Liz originally only intended to foster Jimmy, but she ended up falling in love with him and adopted him so he never has to worry about being neglected or abandoned ever again.
