About the Author Andrea Haverland
Hi, I’m Andrea! I’ve been a champion for animals my entire life. Rescuing Piggie in 2020 changed me for the better. After all of the hardships he went through, from being a breeder dog in a cage for years before rescue, to going through painful but necessary surgery to help him breathe better, to surviving intensive heartworm disease and treatment. Through all of this, Piggie showed bravery, love, empathy and such inspirational strength. Piggie truly makes me slow down and enjoy life. He deserves everything good that comes to him, especially his very own children’s book!
