When my sister was killed in a car wreck in Aug '07, I was sucked into a crazy dream that took a while to realize was my new reality. I couldn't function, no one could comfort me, my entire foundation of my family had been shaken. Mollie somehow sensed this, and she never left my side for 3 months following my sisters death. I don't know how she did it, but she was the only thing that brought me comfort and peace. I would lay in bed at night crying and she would put her head over my neck. I would rub her left ear until I fell asleep. I'm sure that ear probably lost some hair from my rubbing it so much, but she never faltered. Mollie is truly one of my "heart" dogs.
