I'm looking for good suggestions for off-leash parks for dogs in North Vancouver.

I recommend Mosquito Creek. I believe this site has directions here: http://www.dogheirs.com/parks/52

We have a few listed in our Parks section here, as part of our NeighborHound Watch service!

Not a park but since your in Vancouver, I cant help but mention a photoghraphers blog I love to follow out there. www.off-leash.ca

For a really nice hike/walk i recommend the Cleveland dam in north van and go on the capilano pacific trail (capilano canyon) - across the dam. You can start your walk of the trail from a few different spots: on top of the dam, the British properties in west van or the salmon hatchery.  I also love the Ambleside off-leash park. I know it's in West Van, but it's got a lot of space for off-leash. Although i recommend smaller dogs steer clear of the water area, where a lot of bigger dogs play.
