Tully is an American Bulldog mix who came in to Hempstead Animal shelter as a stray and was then rescued by Road to Home Rescue after he was put on the euthanasia list. That was 3 years ago and since then he's spent his life in a boarding facility.

A Home For Tully wrote, "Look at Tully's ADORABLE face! But the reality is Tully has spent his entire life in a cage and we are worried he is losing his spirit. He has been waiting for THREE YEARS, and that is too long."

Tully was only around 1 years old when he arrived at the shelter. "He won the hearts of everyone he met. He was a charmer. Nobody could resist his ways and he soon found himself with quite the fan base. But, eventually, the stress got to him, and it was decided that he had to go," explains A Home For Tully.

"There was an uproar from his fan base, from those who knew him and those who didn't, begging for his life to be spared. People from all over the state pulled together to save Tully's life, but none of them offered to give him a place to go, and so he remained sentenced indefinitely."

"Staring directly at his fate, an amazing group was able to come to the rescue and pull Tully out of this prison. Tully's fans cheered and applauded and fell over with glee: Tully would live! Tully was safe! But, not a single person offered him a place to go, and so he returned to a cell. A quieter cell, in a different type of prison. He was sentenced indefinitely and continued to serve his time."

"Three years later, and Tully still waits. You're probably wondering: what great crime did he commit? It must've been horrid for him to have been through so many prison cells, right? Wrong. Tully's great crime? He doesn't have a home."

Given Tully is beginning to give up hope, the rescue is reaching out to help him find a forever family.

Tully is located in Long Island, New York. They are looking for a home for him locally but he can travel to an approved home in the north east. Tully must be the only pet.

His rescuers say Tully is a cuddle bug and "75 pounds of pure love".
