A woman dying of cancer has turned to Facebook to fulfill her final wish - a home for her beloved three dogs.
Kathleen Zuidema, who lives on Friday Harbor posted the following message to her Facebook page on March 5, 2016:
"THE AUSSIE POSSE Are looking for a new forever home.!!!!!
This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My heart is breaking and I'm sobbing as I write this.
As a lot of you know I have been fighting cancer for about a year and a half and things are now progressing to the point where I need to secure a home for the posse.
They are a package deal.
It is a huge thing to ask of one person but the thought of them being separated is more than l can bear.
They have always been together . They are extremely well trained and love to play ball as many have seen at the gravel pit. At home they are perfect roommates they sleep on my bed or one of theirs if they want.
They need to be in a fenced in yard for their safety and freedom to run and play .they entertain themselves romping in short spurts throughout the day.
Autumn Moon Is the oldest she is 11 Moka Luka is 4 1/2.and Finnegan is her little brother and he is 4. They are are fixed.
They have always been with me 24/7. So someone who can be with them alot would be my wish. They are wonderful to be with the love they give and joy that they bring me every day has been unbelievable.
So it's a lot
But I'm putting this out there to facebook land and see what happens.

The good news is that as of March 9th, a person commented on Facebook that Kathleen may have found a home for her Aussie Posse. "Good news from the Animal Protection Society of Friday Harbor.....looks like someone on San Juan Island has come forward and offered to take all three dogs...looks to be a good match!"
However, as the news is yet to be confirmed, if you are able to help you might want to reach out to Kathleen through Facebook.
I certainly hope the potential adopter works out!
