Everybody has their own personnel tastes when comes to the dogs they prefer. When you get older a dog with a little less energy is a better choice. When you're younger a dog that can handle longer walks is sometimes a better choice. Different strokes for different folks. If you don't like this particular breed why even comment, what purpose does it serve? All you will do is put yourself in conflict with people that do. I myself have always liked the larger breed dogs but it didn't take me long to fall in love with a small dog. Live and learn.
OK, maybe I did not convey properly.....the dog is cute, and I do not doubt the dog might be intelligent.......BUT, that skiddish, pretentious behavior......sorry, it makes me sick. Reminds me of a bad child mis-behaving and I would not want him in my lap if he/she acted this way.
Joyce, no need to be mean-hearted here. These dogs were bred to be the way they are. They're not dumb - obviously you've never met a shih-tzu. I prefer big, working dogs, but small dogs are lovely little bundles who can FIT in your lap.
Not meaning to offend owners of this breed.......BUT.......dumb butt she-she "if you were truly in front of me, I would run" dogs.......they are such DIVA's......nothing more to say that is nice........sorry folks
Another days work done. Now if we could only teach him to destroy the bills.
